Steven J. Dick, Ph.D.
Steve
Dick earned his Ph.D. in Mass Media from Michigan State University in
1993. Since that time, he enjoyed fifteen years as a full time college
professor and writer and analyst. Currently, Dick is a semi-independent
analyst in social science and media.
I use the barn motif as an indication of how we should expect great utility from our modern communication technology. Too often, we talk about new media with undue respect. Placing new media in a metaphorical barn is my way of putting the technology back in its place.
